The Andre Sobel River of Life Foundation was created to help families who are living with the pain of a child diagnosed with a life-threatening illness. When this catastrophe happens to a family that is already struggling to provide the basics of food and shelter for themselves and their children, the stress, grief and anxiety are almost unbearable.

By joining our “When Compassion Can’t Wait” Campaign you can help ease the pain, lessen the load, and soften a crisis.  Your contribution will help relieve a family of their worries about unpaid rent, the threat of foreclosure, or the burden of bills for groceries, phone, or utilities during a time of crisis.

• $67 dollars pays for the electric bill for a single caregiver for one month (on average).
• $150 dollars helps a single parent buy groceries for the children for two weeks.
• $1250 dollars keeps a mother with her critically ill child for one month by paying her mortgage

All overhead costs for our Foundation are covered by our endowment, so that 100% of your gift goes directly and immediately to the families who need it so desperately.
