N’s mother has been out of work since he was admitted to the hospital and therefore has limited financial resources. Assistance was requested for the purchase of a computer so that N does not feel so isolated.

B, J & J are 16, 5, and 3 years old respectively. They all have sickle cell, a rare blood disease. Mom is single with one other child. Mom does not work in order to care for the sick children. Mom was recently robbed at gun point while taking the metro. Assistance was given for gas, so the family would not have to take the metro and family would have reliable transportation for hospital appointments.
